on the edge of the Cotswolds, close to the city of Bath.
The Catherine Wheel is ideally located for visiting a number of attractions,
including Cheltenham and Bath Racecourses, Castle Combe
Motor Racing Circuit and Badminton Horse Trials. Being
only 5 miles from junction 18 of the M4 we are also in
prime location for shopping in Bath and Bristol or sightseeing
in Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. If shopping
is not your thing you why not sample the excellent countryside
on foot or bike.
The Catherine Wheel is an impressive building, much of it dating back
to the 16th Century. Simple, sympathetic décor complements the exposed
stonewalls and large open fireplaces.
Today we are highly regarded for our home cooked food and real ales served
in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We use local produce when available and
all our food is freshly prepared by fully trained chefs. A variety of eating
areas are available including an elegant dining room and a small sunny patio.
Booking for weekends and Sunday lunch is advisable.
Several real ales are on offer including the very popular Bath brewed
Bellringer, as well as an excellent wine list to suit all tastes.
The Catherine Wheel also has four comfortable en suite guest rooms, all
